Opinion: Why the Nobel Peace Prize award is a huge blow to Facebook.
It is a big deal, Maria Ressa's co-winning the Nobel Peace Prize, with another journalist Dmitry Muratov and I agree with the opinion by Nina Jankowicz.
Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg was once quoted in his conversation with Maria Ressa when she was already pleading for him to intervene as to what is happening in the Philippines. Instead, he was more concerned about the 3% of Filipinos who are not on Facebook;
“What are the other 3 percent doing, Maria?”
There is no doubt Mark Zuckerberg failed society. Even now, with new allegations from the Facebook whistleblower, he won't budge.
Mark is on top of a multi-billion fortune, but he has long lost his luster in the tech world. Instead, he will be remembered in history as someone who created a product more deadly than cigarettes.
